Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Malipo, operated by Botsmith Technologies under the Botsmith Africa brand. By using Malipo, you agree to these terms.
1. About Malipo
Malipo is an automated business-record service for businesses in Zambia. You provide information about business activity; Malipo processes it to create and maintain structured records and provide supported features through WhatsApp and Malipo's web interfaces.
2. Using Malipo
Business owners may authorise staff to use Malipo on behalf of the business. Do not deliberately misuse Malipo or interfere with the service or other users.
3. Your business information
Your business information remains yours. You give Botsmith only the limited rights reasonably necessary to process that information and operate Malipo. Using Malipo does not transfer ownership of your business records to Botsmith.
You must have authority to submit information about customers, staff or other people. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
4. Records and automated processing
Malipo may use automated or assisted processing to understand your instructions and create or update the business records you request. Review records Malipo returns to you and respond when Malipo asks for clarification.
Use Malipo's supported correction or reversal functions to correct an entry. A reversal corrects the business history; it is not the same as erasing all information about the original activity.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, lawful use and protecting access to your business. If you believe Malipo has processed accurate information incorrectly, contact support so the issue can be investigated and corrected where appropriate.
6. Plans, paid periods and cancellation
Available paid plans include Pro and Retail. Monthly, Quarterly and Annual purchases cover 1, 3 and 12 months respectively. The price and period shown at purchase form part of that purchase.
Paid periods do not renew automatically. Continued paid use requires a new supported purchase. Where a trial is offered, its duration and available features are shown through the service.
You may stop using Malipo or choose not to purchase another period. Availability of plan changes or upgrades may depend on your current paid period.
7. Refunds
Changing plans does not automatically create a credit for a purchased period. Payments for a purchased subscription period are non-refundable if you cancel, stop using Malipo or change plans, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This does not determine the outcome of a duplicate payment, failed payment, incorrect charge or other payment or service error. Contact support if you believe an error occurred.
8. Availability and service changes
Malipo depends on internet connectivity and third-party services including WhatsApp and payment networks. Interruptions can occur, so continuous availability is not guaranteed.
We may update features, interfaces and future offers. Important service changes may also be communicated through Malipo.
9. Staff access and deletion
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, misuse, security risks or harm to the service or other users.
Only the business owner may request deletion of their business and its records from Malipo. Staff members and others with shared access cannot delete the business or its records from Malipo. Removing a staff member, leaving a business and deleting the business from Malipo are separate actions.
The business owner can contact support to request deletion and receive assistance. Stopping a subscription does not itself delete business records. Retention and requests are described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Professional-advice boundary
Malipo is not a bank, accounting firm, auditor, tax authority, law firm or financial adviser. Its records and reports are not accounting, tax, investment or legal advice, and are not represented as audited or certified. Seek appropriate professional advice when needed.
11. Legal protections
To the extent allowed by law, Botsmith Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
12. Changes and contact
Revisions will be published here with an updated date. Questions about these Terms or Malipo can be sent to support@botsmithafrica.com.
